Traditional style narrowboat with fully fitted Boatman’s cabin and engine room. This vessel was last out of the water in 2017 for blacking with Bitumen. Built in 1987. Fitted by John Woolard. Russell Newbery diesel engine. 8 berth - fixed double in own cabin, convertible double in boatman's cabin and saloon, single in boatman's cabin and convertible single in saloon. Saloon: Fitted L shape sofa to port, this can convert to a double berth. Further is a section of fitted storage units. Solid fuel stove located to starboard. At the forward end to each side of the steps going into the bow are two fitted single seating units, these can covert to a single berth.
Material / build: All steel. Thicknesses: 10 – 6 – 4mm
Exterior: Black bitumen painted hull to rubbing band. Blue from rubbing band through side decks. Cream cabin sides with red full length panel and blue coach line, name sign written. Roof in blue and cream.
Windows: Gold anodised aluminium top hopper opening at the forward end and portholes at aft. Opening side doors to port and starboard in engine room, another set of opening side doors in the saloon to starboard.
Forward well: Rope fender. Steel cants. ‘T’ stud. Gas locker containing 2 x 13kg gas bottles. Cratch frame and cover, Steel bench to each side with storage below and foam cushions above with table. Two central half glazed stable style varnished timber doors to accommodation.
Roof: Sliding hatch over access aft. 3 Opening hatches form side doors, pigeon box, 4 mushroom vents, flue for stove, Epping and Alde, engine exhaust, pole. Integral steel hand rails.
Aft deck: Rope fender, 2 mooring dollies, steel cants, diesel filler. Tiller steering. Self draining deck. Two central timber lined steel doors to accommodation.
