The Hood 38 was designed by world renowned yachtsman and sail maker Ted Hood and built in France by Chantiers Wauquiez. They produced a yacht that shows fusion between the styles of boat design at that time. They were strongly built to a high standard with an excellent reputation for seaworthiness and safe comfortable passage-making. The more European sleek lines make her a very attractive looking yacht and so it's surprising when you go below how spacious she is. This is the Mk II, a vastly improved companionway and interior layout from the early boats which were first produced in 1976

Lovely Classic Gaff Cutter showing beautiful craftmanship.
These classic lines will certainly turn heads wherever she goes. Onboard there is a lovely feeling of purpose.
Wooden boats always need maintenance, and this is no different, but for a boat that is nearly 30 years old, I think she can provide many more years of enjoyment.
The 2017 engine looks like new.

Boatshed Cornwall are pleased to list this Oysterman 22, designed by Paul Gartside and built by Oystersailers Ltd of Penryn. This cutter rigged gaffer is a cruising yacht based on Falmouth working boats . Her heavy displacement with encapsulated ballast in a long keel suggests a capable cruiser.
This yacht is lying on a pontoon mooring and is in need of a post winter clean, which is in hand and may well have been completed prior to viewings. Once onboard, this little yacht exudes space and headroom envied probably by other yachts of this size.
Upgrades include:
Renewed sails (2010)

Boatshed Hamble are pleased to bring to market this Moody 27.
This particular Moody 27 is a good, clean example of her class and looks very smart and well cared for by her present owner.
Moody boats are renowned for their solidity and seaworthiness and are a very popular family boat with plenty of space below. She is a boat that is easy to handle yet capable in stronger conditions.
She has a double berth forward with 2 settee berths in the main saloon. There is plenty of room around the saloon table and the chart table folds neatly away. The galley is to starboard with the heads oppo...

Cornish Crabbers build their boats from start to finish in Cornwall, England and have done so for over 40 years. They are tough and yet classically pretty boats, and with a clever layout down below she feels more like a 30-footer than just 24.Â
This boat appears to be in very good condition and a pleasure to be aboard. She is a testament to her owner.
This Cornish Cutter is Bermudan rigged with slab reefing in lazy jacks and has twin furling headsails on a retractable bowsprit. Her mainsail and headsail are both brand new (2024).
She can be sailed singlehandedly with ease but has a ...

This lovely little Fisher Freeward 25 motor sailer is extremely pretty and, despite her age, I feel that she's incredibly strong and has really stood the test of time.
Time is showing a little here and there - she needs a good going through, clean and some basic maintenance doing, before she heads off back to sea. She hasn't been used in a while and it shows.
With some basic jobs done and some general husbandry work, this lovely yacht could be ready for some more adventures relatively quickly.

Moody 31's were in production from 1983 through to 1991 and over 300 were built. They are a well-respected and popular yacht which offers both comfort and performance.
This Mk II, built in 1990, benefits from the addition of a Sugar Scoop, aiding dingy or stern access to moorings.
It has the more popular tiller steering, keeping the cockpit uncluttered, and bilge keels enabling shallow water exploring.
There is plenty of room both on deck and down below. Other benefits include good headroom throughout the two cabins and saloon, a forward-facing, full-sized nav station and an annual...
