'Soonah' is a wooden, racing dayboat of the Loch Long One Design class, and is sail no. 47. She was built in 1959 by Alexander Robertson & Co. of Sandbank, on the southern shore of the Holy Loch. Robertson built boats to a very high standard, and 'Soonah' is no exception, with a beautiful varnished mahogany hull. The current owner bought her in Scotland in 1990 and brought her down to Aldeburgh, where she is now. "Hebe" is a great example of this modern lugger designed by Nigel Irens. Constructed by Bridgend Boat Co. in 2000, and launched in 2001. A Hamble River One Design, 18ft, gaff rigged sloop, built 1913 by Luke & Co at Swanwick on the River Hamble. She is a true classic and an important piece of maritime history, possibly one of just six built pre WWI.
