The Post Boat hulls originate from the 1900's post boat which used to deliver post around the Scottish coast. With her beamy hull and shallow draught, these boats are perfect for exploring creeks and coastal inlets, plus they're easy to launch and recover. Simple to rig and short enough to store in your garage at home. Great for teaching a family learning to sail. Sails well in light airs, can also be rowed when the wind dies.
RCD Category C: up to 5 people

12ft heavy and well built sailing dinghy in good condition and with a galvanised trailer, oars and rowlocks included.
I purchased her about 4 years ago and put new 10 inch wheels and hubs on the trailer but never actually used her as bought my larger boat just after and have been using that instead so wheels have never been in the water.
Mast and spars are sound but could do with a varnish over the winter.
Sails show no visible signs of damage other than the repair to the jib which seems to have been professionally done. I forgot to attach the kicking strap which would have pulled the... read more
This beautiful boat has been in the same ownership since it was purchased directly from the builder in 1996, and has seen virtually no use. Stored in a well ventilated, dry garage, the trailer has never been submerged in salt water. It is not often we can offer a boat in "as new" condition, but this one really is. Being sold by its one and only owner due to lack of use, this provides so many options: either to be continued as a feature piece, used as it was originally intended or just to potter about the waterways. It really is a "first to see will buy" and has the convenience of being able to... read more
Freyja is a strikingly good looking double ended clinker built boat, age unknown (but possible 60s/70s), larch planking on oak frames. I bought her some years ago as an empty hull, apart from an old 8hp Yanmar engine; it appeared that she had a sail at some point.
I spent 5 years getting her to a usable condition, replacing 3 planks, adding a new mast with a balanced lug rig, 16hp Beta Marine diesel engine (2006 model still with under 500hrs use, although the hour meter doesn't work, so you will have to take my word on that). The engine is serviced each year with new filters, impellors e... read more
