Black hulled Gaff Cutter, all GRP, 1992. A superb example of this stable and delightful 4 berth modern classic cruising yacht.
'Syrinx' is much admired wherever she goes, especially when flying her striped jackyard topsail. She has been lightly used and well cared-for in the current, third ownership, for the last 10 years. Currently afloat in Salcombe, due as usual, for wintering ashore from November to March.
Afloat, she is comfortable and dry to sail, responsive and practical for offshore cruising, with her wide side decks and deep forefoot cutting through the swell. She is admirably capable of looking after a family or single-handed crew, as described by Libby Purves in her book 'One Summer's Grace', when she and her husband Paul sailed their Pilot Cutter Grace O'Malley around the UK with two young children.
In order to sail with our extended family as crew, we are now looking for a move to a larger boat.
