Albin is not that well known in the UK, are highly respected, originally Swedish crafted vessels renowned for their robust construction, exceptional seaworthiness, and classic Downeast or aft-cabin designs. Originally a Swedish marine engine builder, the brand has been a global favourite since 1929, spanning everything from classic production sailboats to modern motor yachts.
They were taken over by a US company making a wide range of Motor Boats from 23ft to 100ft a variety of hull types: deep vee, modified vee, displacement and semi-displacement. These hull variations are commonly employed for boating pursuits like overnight cruising, day cruising, saltwater fishing, freshwater fishing and sailing.
Very active owners clubs in the US eg https://albinowners.net/aog/ plus others
Atlantic Pearl a 24ft Albin Motor Cruiser was exported to the UK in 2005 and was CE surveyed and marked on entry. Documents available.
She is a long distance pocket trawler. A fuel tank of 65 gals. Cruising Speed is 6 kts and max around 7-8
Speed is dictated by the hull design so higher Revs will only waste fuel.
The Engine is a Perkins Sabre commercial series M65 65hp 4cyl Diesel
10 gal holding tank and 30 gal water tank.(water tank is still in place but decommissioned with a new 7 gal tank fitted)
A high quality built vessel, hull over 20-25mm thick where it can be measured and floor sole boards nearly an inch thick.
This Boat is in very good condition throughout and everything works well, with thousands of pounds spent on her in the last 2 years to her current excellent condition. All receipts available.

Fuel Consumption BreakdownThe actual fuel burn depends entirely on how hard you run the engine (measured in RPM):
Low Cruise / Trawling (1,200 – 1,400 RPM): 0.20 to 0.30 UK gal/hr. The boat moves at a relaxed 4.5 to 5 knots.
Normal Displacement Cruise (1,600 – 1,800 RPM): 0.35 to 0.55 UK gal/hr (approx. 1.6 to 2.5 litres/hr). This is the most efficient sweet spot for a 24ft waterline, yielding roughly 5.5 to 6 knots.
High Cruise / Fighting Current (2,000 RPM): 0.65 to 0.85 UK gal/hr. The hull will reach its maximum physical speed limit (around 6.5 knots). The remaining energy is wasted creating a massive stern wave.
Maximum Rated Consumption (2,600 RPM): 1.33 UK gal/hr (1.60 US gal/hr). This is the official Perkins Sabre Technical Specification at Wide Open Throttle (WOT). You should never reach this level of consumption in a 24ft displacement boat unless your propeller is severely overpitched or fouled.
